It's Tomorrow, April 22!🎉
AI, Proof of Skill, & the Future of Work: Be Part of the Dynamic Conversation.
Quantum Leap Career Fair 2025 is finally happening tomorrow, April 22, at the British Council, and the time is 9AM to 4PM.
We’ve poured our hearts into crafting an event that stands out.
I’ve attended my fair share of discussions on AI and the future of work. And many of those discussions are frankly dry and boring regurgitations.
Hence, my goal is to spark something fresh. I want to start dialogues that are actionable, inclusive, and forward-thinking. This isn’t another repetitive panel. It’s a dynamic experience designed to inspire and equip you for what’s next.
I want everyone who attends tomorrow to leave the British Council feeling:
Inspired: Energized by bold ideas about how AI can shape meaningful careers.
Empowered: Armed with practical strategies to navigate and thrive in an AI-driven workplace.
Connected: Part of a vibrant community ready to lead the future of work together.
🚨By the way, we are also giving away GHS10,000 in cash and prizes through the Proof of Skills competition. Many thanks to Samsung Ghana for joining forces with us for this event.
Join us for engaging panels, hands-on workshops, and networking with industry leaders. Help us spread the word by sharing our event artwork on social media!
#QLCF25 Agenda: AI, Proof of Skill, & the Future of Work
We’ve curated an event that balances inspiration, skill development, and practical outcomes. Here’s a deeper look at each segment:
Arrival & Checkin (9:00 AM - 9:30 AM): This initial phase, managed by the Marketing & Communications Admin, ensures a smooth start, setting a professional tone for the day.
Welcome Address (9:30 AM - 9:40 AM): The Founder & President’s address (from yours truly😉) is expected to frame the event’s theme, "AI and the Future of Work," and motivate attendees.
Introducing ReadyforWork (9:40 AM - 10:00 AM): This session introduces ReadyforWork, SFAN’s initiative to equip youth with digital skills. It’s a 20-minute window to highlight how attendees can access training, leading to job placements, as seen in SFAN’s past success stories.
Executive Keynote Panels (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM): The two panels, "Future of Work" and "Artificial Intelligence," are the event’s intellectual core. The "Future of Work" panel, featuring leaders from Tropical Cable & Conductor Ltd and AfriSAF, will discuss trends for futureproofing your career. The AI panel, with a Google Developer Expert, AI Researcher, Samsung Ghana’s AI Trainer, and International Technology Consultant, will delve into practical AI applications for career success.
Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM): Beyond recharging, this break includes innovation booths, offering a chance to explore AI tools and connect informally, enhancing networking opportunities.
Proof of Skill Competition (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM): A standout feature, this competition allows attendees to demonstrate skills for cash prizes and employer visibility. Given the ticket includes participation (#QLCF25), it’s a low-barrier entry to showcase talent, potentially leading to job offers, as seen in past SFAN fairs.
Emerging Youth Leaders Voices (2:00 PM - 2:45 PM): This session features young professionals, including a Senior Analyst at GFA Consulting and a KNUST Research Assistant, and high school leaders sharing their insights. It’s inspirational, particularly for students and early-career individuals, offering relatable success stories.
Career Fair (2:45 PM - 3:50 PM): The longest segment, this fair is the practical payoff, where attendees can network with employers and explore job openings. Past events have led to recruitments from firms like GFA Consulting and the Netherlands Embassy, making this a critical opportunity for job seekers.
Vote of Thanks and Closing (3:50 PM - 4:00 PM): This brief closing ensures attendees leave motivated, with a call to action for future engagement, possibly linking to SFAN’s ongoing programs.
