Thanks for your support in 2022 š
This has been a remarkable year! And we canāt wait for the New Year!
Hello, Star!
I want to use this medium to extend my sincere appreciation for you being a part of our Stars From All Nations community this year.
Itās been an incredible year.
Inspite of the overwhelming uncertainties and pressures weāve all felt, there are many reasons to be grateful.
Very manyā¦and on our side, itās the time to count our blessings one by oneš„³:
We successfully completed two ReadyforWork digital career accelerator cohorts this year. And one of our graduates secured a job from a UK-based firm.
We secured a course partnership with the University of Carlifonia Santa Clara on Soft Skills.
I made it through the prestigious Nasdaq Entrepreneurship Centerās Milestone Makers program, with a feature on New York Times Square.
I was invited to join the pioneering steering committee of World Bank Groupās Youth Voices Ghana Chapter.
You heard it first: I accepted a proposal to serve as Entrepreneur In Residence and Program Manager for Seedstars in the forthcoming African Fashion Futures Incubator Project. The Ghana Fashionomics Incubator Program is a 5-month Incubation program for potential high-growth designer ventures in collaboration with African Development Bank.
We hosted AWITās ExperienceAware Design Thinking Class with Canadian firm, Expereincepoint.
I also awarded tech journalist, Joseph Albert Kuuire the Community Star 2022 for entrepreneurial journalism and community development evangelism. To our knowledge, this is the first of such award he is receiving in his 5+ years of experience reporting tech news in Ghana.
And on product development front, we retouched the SFAN website and took the ReadyforWork platform to another level. We have now began piloting Software Development and Data Science courses in addition to the other tracks.
2023, for me, is the year of scale up!
On a continental level, itāll be a year for Africa to the world.
And personally, after many years of iteration and experimentation, I believe weāve found a rhythm. And I will be counting on your support in the New Year as well.
It takes a village āand I want you to know, we will keep doing everything in our power to make this a wonderful story that will inspire the world.
Here are two things you should expect from usš:
I will invest more into this newsletter to bring you exclusive, fresh thoughts and insights. Iām still considering launching a podcast, but not so sure as yet.
We shall expand our Readyforwork programming and the SFAN team.
FYI: If youāre new here and unsure of what ReadyforWork is about, kindly visit our website for all the details: www.readyforwork.africa.
